A Message from Our Founder

Hi – my name is Ken Urie. I’m the founder of Mill Creek Family Services.

If you’re like me, there have been plenty of times over the past couple years that have felt overwhelming. The rapid changes in our world are nothing like we have experienced before. 

In this extended season of uncertainty, I have found that it has become more important than ever to regularly stop and take a breath. In fact – it’s likely a good moment for that right now…

When I pause, I notice that I have a better chance to see and hear the beauty of our world, even in the midst of the burdens we face. 

When I take a minute to shift in my perspective — the way I feel about the things I’m looking at seems to change.

Today, no matter what’s going on — I encourage all of us to extend some extra care and grace to ourselves and to those we love. Our daily acts of kindness, support and generosity that go beyond what is necessary, can make all the difference!

I want to let you know that in direct response to the growing needs of our community, our dedicated team of MCFS therapists have expanded their schedules with telehealth video counseling and in-person visits at our two MCFS locations.
