Join Our Mission – An Invitation from our Founder

Healing Lives,

     Restoring Hope &

          Igniting Possibilities.

Hi — I’m Ken Urie, MA, LMHC — founder and owner of Mill Creek Family Services.

I’m on a personal mission to help improve the experience of work, life, and relationships for our MCFS team members, leaders, and broader community.

I have designed and built Mill Creek Family Services with a bold Mission to provide healing, hope and possibilities for adults, youth, couples and families. Our counseling and therapeutic services honor the value, strengths and resources of all we serve.

In the same way, our primary Operational Commitment at MCFS is to create an EXCELLENT work environment and experience for our employees. We appreciate the unique value, individual strengths and professional contributions of each of our MCFS team members.

With our Mission for our community – and our Commitment to our employees — we are in direct service to our grander MCFS Vision — to support our team members and community;

to Be well – to Live well – and to Love well.

At Mill Creek Family Services, that’s what we’re all about!

Since 1991, I have been passionate about delivering high quality mental health services to adults, youth, couples and families in our community.

Mill Creek Family Services continues to grow every year in support of a vibrant and connected team of therapists, administrative professionals, and organizational leaders.

I am proud that MCFS is inspired and led by our mission, vision, values, operational commitments, and intentional team culture. Everything we do emerges from from this foundation.

  • Dependable, personable, and smooth-running administrative operations.
  • Flexible access to care and service delivery through in-person and virtual services.
  • Peaceful, beautiful, and organized onsite work environments.

If you are an intentional healer, encourager, supporter, and uplifter – I personally invite you to consider playing a vital role in the lives of countless people and families with a career at Mill Creek Family Services

While our work and service for our community is deeply important – it can be challenging to be sure. Through it all, our MCFS providers show up, day after day, with dedication, compassion and commitment to our clients and to each other.

Our therapists’ commitment to excellence does not go unnoticed. Their contributions to the lives of our clients are invaluable — and we let them know we see that!

Our MCFS counselors are making a real difference in the world, and I could not be prouder to work alongside such an incredible group of individuals.

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. — Indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”

-Margaret Mead

I am always grateful and humbled when our team members let me know what they love about being a part of our MCFS family.

Here’s some things that our MCFS therapists are saying about their experience on our team:

“When I was searching for my next career move, I wanted a position where I could work independently and develop my skills and expertise at my own pace, as well as become part of a supportive team of colleagues I could learn from, and I absolutely found all of this at MCFS…”

“The structure at MCFS allows for flexibility and balance, while the leadership provides countless opportunities for professional development through consultation, process, education & training, as well as connection.”
