Eva Hooria Tariq, MA, LMHCA

Eva is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate who primarily works with adults. She understands that starting the therapeutic journey can be daunting, but she will set you at ease  by providing a welcoming, nonjudgmental, and safe atmosphere. Eva understands a lot can happen in life to influence your outlook and wellbeing, but no matter what you’ve faced, she will support you in exploring and overcoming these challenges. 

Eva believes a trusting connection between a client and therapist is crucial for the process to be successful. She strives to form an authentic professional relationship with you, focusing on your  specific needs and goals. Eva appreciates the diverse experiences, perspectives, and beliefs of each individual. Her style is collaborative and adapts to the unique needs of each person. Eva’s  approach to therapy includes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindful self-compassion, narrative therapy, and motivational interviewing (MI).

Eva is bicultural and bilingual (English and Hindi/Urdu). Her lived experience provides her with the ability to support others with a culturally aware lens. She is liberation-oriented and believes understanding ourselves, our beliefs, and how they are affected by systemic structures can be crucial to the healing process.
