Jane Keptner, MSW, LICSW
Jane is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who specializes in working with individual adults. Jane’s theoretical orientation is grounded in family systems theory and her approach to therapy uses a combination of Internal Family Systems, cognitive-behavioral, and mindfulness-based therapy models.
Jane is aware that making the decision to seek out therapy takes tremendous courage, and she is glad you are exploring this path forward. She is respectful of who you are as a unique individual, and believes you already have the inner resources you need to lead a fulfilling, satisfying life. She believes that her role as therapist is to hold a safe space where you can explore who you truly are, and help you connect with the parts of yourself that need to be heard, healed, and encouraged.
Jane has a strong interest in Zen meditation. She has had a meditation practice for over 20 years, and believes it—along with other mindfulness-based practices—can help us to cope as well as maintain balance in our daily lives.
