Jenifer Smith, MA, LMHC

Jen is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who works with children, teens, adults, and families. She understands the importance of cultivating safety and offers a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients can share their stories and define their own goals. Jen views her role as walking alongside you through a process of self-exploration, healing, and personal growth.

Her therapeutic approach is integrative and tailored to each individual’s needs. Depending on the presenting concerns and goals, Jen draws from person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Habit Reversal Training (HRT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), psychodynamic strategies, Internal Family Systems (IFS), emotion-focused methods, strength-based approaches, Motivational Interviewing (MI), and trauma-informed care.

When working with children, Jen incorporates movement and play therapy to help them build self-regulation skills and express themselves in a natural, non-threatening way. She deeply values the uniqueness of each individual and is passionate about providing neurodivergent-affirming and gender-affirming care for all clients.
