Samantha Clapp, MA, LMHCA

Samantha is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with experience working with teens and adults. She understands that life is full of stress and challenges and that sometimes we find ourselves stuck and in need of extra support to navigate our lives. Samantha believes therapy is a space in which people can learn about themselves, their emotions, and their processes to heal and grow.

Samantha’s approach is person-centered and eclectic drawing from narrative, somatic, and relational psychodynamic theories. Within her therapeutic work, Samantha acknowledges the importance of exploring the multiple layers of life’s challenges such as systemic issues, chronic health conditions, neurodivergence, traumatic experiences, and challenging interpersonal relationships. Samantha’s work with clients includes exploring inner narratives and current life stressors as well as reflecting upon formative experiences, practicing grounding techniques, and more. Samantha believes therapy should be a collaborative process where you can explore your needs and develop your emotional skills within a kind and open environment.

Pursuing therapy can feel like a heavy endeavor; however, playfulness, laughter, and finding joy are also key components of the healing process. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, the loss of a loved one, or other challenges, Samantha believes that together you can work towards your health and well-being.
